Enjoyable time with new friends. Learned from the instructor some good skills for colored pencils.
Great beginner friendly class
I learned so much and the group vibe was amazing. I do hope that we all will meet again at another training opportunity. I will definitely be back to learn more. Thank you for such an amazing experience!??

I enjoyed it very much. Great location, good instruction, a nice group of people, etc. The instructor asked good questions to get a sense of where each of us were at and what we wanted to work on. Felt inspired! It was also a very relaxing experience.

Everyone loves Marilyn!! The sadness of her life is evident in her eyes. All she ever wanted was to be loved. I think we ALL want thatI wanted to do her justice.

Radiance was inspired by my healing journey. When beginning this piece the theme ?she radiates hotter than the sun? was a repeating phrase that I kept thinking as I worked. I was thinking of how many times we do not realize or understand the power that we have inside of us. This painting poses the question ?is it the sun or her power that is melting the ice cream? The ice cream to me was a symbol of how society placates us with frivolous things in order to dim our light. When I look at this

This a digital painting I did of Dorothy Dandrige! I wanted to introduce my niece to a black movie star from the 40s whom she had no idea existed! I create paintings of powerful black women in our history and present.

I have been working with Acrylics since late last year. I started last year with with water color but I needed more "Pop". Water color is way too dull for me. I like bright happy colors. I have slowly gone from 5 x 7 paper last year to 18 x 24 canvas last week. This is my 2nd of that size but we won't talk about the 1st one.

This is a portrait of Monty, one of our family of cats. Unfortunately, Monty passed away late last year, succumbing to an agressive cancer. Monty was an extremely loving, though demanding, cat and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

After several attempts at deconstructing the real flower, they die overnight, I was able to recreate her beauty out of several different grams of crepe paper. By painting and adding the details. Success. Natures beauty is such an inspiration.
