I enjoyed it very much. Great location, good instruction, a nice group of people, etc. The instructor asked good questions to get a sense of where each of us were at and what we wanted to work on. Felt inspired! It was also a very relaxing experience.

I always keep an eye out for photo opportunities to consider for paintings. Fortunately, many of the paintings I have made are from photos taken on or near our home in Baltimore County. I planted these bee balm flowers in early spring, and by late summer, they were attracting lots of bees, so I took several photos. I've been teaching art for 30 years, and it's hard to find time away from the classroom to do my own work. I finally found the time during this year's spring break to knock out two pa

My favorite thing to do is faces, but this time I wanted to try some abstract painting. I did an abstract as a novice, and it was missing something - so because I love to do faces I cut one of them out that I had previously drawn and stuck it right in the middle, and that seemed to do the trick!!!

I've been inspired by all the spring blooms recently and decided to paint a small landscape featuring them along with a simple little church in the background. A year ago I experienced a traumatic experience that I've been healing from- my faith has been a big part of that and that I'm painting again is a huge step forward for me!6?6 Acrylic on canvas

This piece came from my imagination 100. It started on a rainy day and I was thinking of beautiful flowers and peonies came to mind and they happen to be my favorite. Faithful I thought well, why not display them with a bowl of lemons, which I love lemons as well, so it strictly comes from my imagination and is a little celebration of a couple of my two favorite things.

This Red Samurai is a commissioned oil on canvas. This was a fun challenge, as I?ve never before attempted a subject like this. My palette enjoyed these rich colors, I hope you do as well.

Although there is now a new much larger more modern St. Joseph Catholic Church in the area, it will never garner the original effort and sacrifice it took for the settlers of Sykesville to mount this beautiful stone tribute to their faith and community on top of a hill above the train station and railroad. I tried to capture the solidity of their faith in placing the stone forward with an upward glance toward the heavens.

?Dumy? is a deep reflection on life and destiny, our fears, worries, and the constant search for answers. It is about the past we cannot fully let go of and the future we are sometimes afraid of. At the same time, the bright colours remind us that not everything unknown is dark ? sometimes something vivid and beautiful is waiting for us beyond our fears &10024The work is created in the traditional Ukrainian folk art style of Petrykivka painting using a plant stem( rohozynka) and a brush ma

Inspired and deeply moved by the divine presence of the Indian Goddess Devi, this pencil sketch was brought to life as a heartfelt expression of devotion, strength, and spiritual beauty. Through every stroke and detail, the intention was to capture the serene aura, grace, and pure bliss that Devi embodies. This artwork reflects not only her powerful energy and feminine divinity, but also the sense of peace, inspiration, and inner connection she awakens within the soul.
